Academics Stand Against Poverty co-hosted the conference \”The New Philanthropy: Effective Altruism and Beyond\” held at Yale University on May 6 and 7. The event featured a keynote address by Angus Deaton, recipient of the 2015 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, in which he presented a critical analysis of effective altruism.
