Here at ASAP, we\’re seeking intern support for a variety of projects. Our remote, part-time internships are a great way for students and professionals to learn about sustainable development and support innovative poverty interventions. Global Colleagues Intern
We are seeking 1-3 interns to support our flagship Global Colleagues program. The intern(s) will help with many aspects of the program, including public outreach, fundraising, program strategy and design, participant recruitment and support, and developing content for ASAP\’s website and social media outlets. This intern will work alongside Global Colleagues Program Manager Robert Lepenies.
The ideal candidate will be a strong writer, reliable and responsive, entrepreneurial and organized, with great communication skills. Fundraising experience is highly desirable. The role can be tailored to fit people with a bachelor\’s degree, master\’s, or PhD. Applicants from all over the world will be considered, and those in the Global South are especially encouraged to apply.

Global Website Intern
We are seeking one talented intern to help deliver a new website for the organization. Work will include some website work, some copy editing, and some manual writing. Subtasks include coding, editing, checking earlier work, and re/naming files. This intern will work alongside Web Committee Members Miles Thompson and Oskar Macgregor.
The ideal candidate will have high-level IT skills, including some HTML/Wordpress experience. We are seeking someone who is a quick learner, who can follow instructions as well as work independently and can judge when to seek help and ask questions. This role is appropriate for people with at least some undergraduate-level education.
This internship entails an initial commitment of three months and may be extended. Work begins ASAP.
Communications Intern
The intern will assist in the development of a communications plan for ASAP. The work will include reaching out to board and stakeholders to determine current strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats, summarizing constituent input, identifying goals and strategies, all with the assistance of Communications Director Ellen Szarleta.
The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills. Experience with strategic planning and familiarity with marketing and communications concepts are strongly preferred. Applicants should be in their final year of university or older.
This internship entails an initial commitment of six months and may be extended. Work begins August 1.
Advocacy Intern
The Advocacy Intern will work to identify strategies and objectives for a campus advocacy campaign on tax justice, potentially targeting private university endowments. The intern will collaborate with the Global Alliance for Tax Justice to plan and organize a global on-campus campaign, as well as a campaign launch at a conference at Yale University. S/he will work alongside ASAP Board Member Zorka Milin.
On-campus activism experience and passion for economic justice are required. Previous experience targeting endowments or corporate actors are highly desirable, as are experience with event planning, previous work with nonprofits, and knowledge of global economic justice issues. This role is best suited to someone currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.
This internship will run at least until November 1, and may be extended. Work beings ASAP.
Ethics and International Relations Intern
This intern will support the development of a special issue of the journal Ethics and International Affairs dedicated to work by scholars from Latin America. This intern will be responsible for running literature searches, seeking articles on topics in ethics and international relations that are especially relevant to Latin America, for example just war doctrine and the use of military bases, or immigration and the maldistribution of wealth. The intern will work alongside ASAP Treasurer Joy Gordon.
The ideal candidate will have experience working as a research assistant and a keen interest in ethics and international relations. Professionalism, the ability to self-start, and strong communication skills are also desired. Speaking Spanish is a major plus.

Social Media Intern
This intern will contribute to ASAP\’s social media presence on Facebook and Twitter. She or he will be asked to seek out new poverty research to share with our members and to develop and implement new strategies to enhance our social media presence. The intern will be supervised by ASAP Program Manager Chelsea Papa.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing social media accounts for other organizations, strong writing skills, and an interest in poverty research.
This internship entails an initial commitment of three months and may be extended. Work begins ASAP.
Health Impact Fund Video Intern
ASAP\’s sister organization, Incentives for Global Health (IGH) is seeking an intern to help create a variety of short videos. IGH is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing market-based solutions to global health challenges, including its flagship proposal, the Health Impact Fund (HIF). The HIF proposes a new way of paying for pharmaceutical innovation by incentivizing the development and delivery of new medicines through a pay-for-performance mechanism. The HIF Video Intern will work with ASAP/IGH Coordinator Rachel Payne.
The intern will create short video interviews with members of the IGH team as well as an animated video that explains the benefits of the HIF. We are seeking someone with strong video editing skills and especially experience creating videos that use graphics and animation. Creativity, passion for global health, and persistence are all required for the role.
This internship entails an initial commitment of three months and may be extended. Work begins ASAP.
