The annual Yale Global Justice Conference brings together scholars, policymakers, practitioners, and experts to share ideas, build connections, and advance meaningful responses to poverty and global justice.
The Yale Global Justice Program, together with Academics Stand Against Poverty, hosts annual conferences dedicated to exploring the urgent challenges of poverty, inequality, and global justice. Each year, the GJP annual conference focuses on a different theme, allowing participants to examine emerging issues and consider new perspectives on the challenges shaping our world. The GJP annual conference brings together scholars, policymakers, practitioners, and experts from diverse backgrounds to exchange knowledge and ideas. Through partnerships with respected academic institutions, research centers, and civil society organizations, the YGJP conference encourages collaboration across disciplines and sectors. Together, participants explore the structural causes of injustice and consider practical, evidence-based approaches to meaningful change in a welcoming space for dialogue, connection, and shared commitment.
The 2026 GJP Annual Conference will center on the theme “The New Infrastructure of Power: AI, Data, and Global Inequality,” to explore how emerging technologies and data systems are reshaping power, opportunity, and inequality around the world. Explore the call for participation to share your research, insights, or practical experience with an international community engaged in questions of global justice.
In 2025, the GJP Annual Conference was convened under the theme “Sustaining Justice: Food, Environment, and New Technologies.” Held from October 23–26, the four-day conference brought together leading scholars, practitioners, and members of the ASAP community in a hybrid format.
